Q. What is the proper way to take care of leather shoes?

MOD8 offers these suggestions on how to care for leather shoes to keep them looking their best:

Smooth Leather for polishing:
Treat it with classic polish of the same colour as the leather. If the toe has been scuffed, colour it again with shoe dye.
Nubuck:
Should be brushed with a hard brush. Clean it with soapy water if it is very dirty and let it dry in the open air. Then spray it with a spray the same colour as the leather.
Suede Split:
Brush the leather, clean it with soapy water if necessary and let it dry in the open air. Apply a waterproofing spray to keep the suede effect or waterproof colouring polish for a smoother effect.
